"I strongly endorse Suzan Solomon to continue her role as Governing Board Member for my Trustee Area 5. I have had the pleasure of working with Sue through the years as a parent of 2 daughters who attended Peachland Elementary and now as a grandparent of 2 students attending Peachland Elementary. I have been a classified employee with the District for 20 years and an interim Newhall Educational Support Professionals (NESP) President.
I consider Sue a friend who empowers honesty. As a Health Assistant, Community Outreach, District Translator, and interim NESP President, my conversations with students, parents, and staff that have worked with Sue have been positive, enriching, and constructive. I have only heard encouraging words.
I have watched her engage in many detailed Board Meetings. I can confidently say she is an exceptional leader. She listens intently to any situation that requires a need, a change, or a solution. She has a constant drive to connect with parents at PTA meetings. I have witnessed her need to foster an environment between parents at some of our Title 1 schools where a diverse culture of Hispanic parents had some challenges and needed guidance. Sue stepped in to advocate for them and help continue the PTA association membership. She successfully fostered the unit to continue programs that enrich student lives.
Sue consistently goes above and beyond to deliver quality feedback. She has excellent communication skills and knowledge in fostering the needs of each individual who stands in front of her to bring change or resolution. She has a great perspective on the future of our students, parents, and staff members. My respect, and support for her have never wavered.”
