“We wholeheartedly support Sue Solomon for re-election to the Newhall School District Governing Board, Trustee Area 5. As parents of a child who promoted this past June, we are thankful for the role Sue played in our 7 years at Wiley Canyon Elementary. Sue’s presence was constant during site visits, school events, and PTA events. Her drive stems from her goals, which are to provide a high-quality education for all students and to support the needs of staff, parents, and the community.
As stakeholders, we believe that it is essential to elect leaders who are committed to improving the District’s needs and Sue is one such leader. As a former parent and board member for over 20 years, Sue understands the needs of the Newhall School District and its community. She has built an impressive record as a community leader and continues to demonstrate her commitment by volunteering for several District causes. Sue gets things done! We believe she will continue to work tirelessly to make the Newhall School District an even better place.
As PTA members (and Rosana as a PTA officer), Sue has been a mentor, a friend, and a leader. She truly understands the impact parent/teacher/student associations can make for schools given her experience as a former PTA parent of Old Orchard Elementary and now as a leader for the Santa Clarita Valley Council PTA. Sue has always offered to lend a hand to promote events, fundraising, parent education, teacher support, and enrichment programs.
