MEET SUZAN SOLOMON

  • Elected to leadership roles in local, state and national Parent Teacher Associations

  • Works with City, County, and State Officials on local and legislative issues that benefit the Newhall School District Community

  • Consults with staff and administration for input on educational issues

  • Demonstrates District support by regular classroom visits

  • Actively promotes addressing needs for safe schools

  • Instrumental in building McGrath, Pico Canyon, and Oak Hills Elementary Schools

  • Instrumental in implementing the Dual Language Immersion program at Old Orchard Elementary

  • Successfully passed and managed two facilities bonds

  • Maintains a balanced budget that supports all programs, including music, art, technology, and counseling

  • Supports professional development that provides all staff with materials and resources needed to support the diverse needs of students, their families, and schools

  • Orchestrated policies and programs that resulted in CA Distinguished Schools, National Blue Ribbon recognitions, and Title 1 recognitions for our schools
